Guiding Principals
We CAN make a difference – I think the whole mindset of we can’t make a difference is a load of baloney. It’s a dis-empowering way of thinking and you rob yourself of the joy and fulfillment that comes from serving others. Take on the mindset of the boy in the starfish story!
We MUST make a difference – We believe in the concept of ‘radical responsibility’. As Ghandi said – ‘Be the change that you want to see in the world’. Lets contribute in any way we can no matter how small.
Collaborate, collaborate collaborate. Together we are a powerful force for good!
We must address root causes. Not just give bandaid solutions.
GNH (Gross National Happiness) is more important that GDP - Our outcome for Kiandu is that its people are able to live happy & meaningful lives. Its not just about basic needs being met (although of course thats the foundation for happiness).
Every kind act can be a powerful agent of change – no matter how small. You never know how far the ripple effect goes.
Lets have fun! Serving, giving, loving. These are some of the deepest, richest and meaningful things we can do with our lives. Enjoy the process!
